Deep Blue Ship Agency started operations at Bogota, Colombia on April 2012 founded by Mr. Mario Cuevas who is widely recognized in the Shipping Agency business. After developing his career for over 40 years in several logistics companies Mr. Cuevas understood the need to give the market another way to offer agency services sealing his distinctive signature on this exciting business. The shipowners and cargo owner’s interests are well represented by Deep Blue.
With the initial help of 9 employees the company attended its first vessel in the port of Santa Marta. At the beginning, Deep Blue was focused on coal and dry bulk cargo vessels. Nowadays, with the help of more than 50 employees we have established ourselves as the No. 1 grain´s ship agency and we have diversified our business to the attention of coal, steel, cement, fertilizers and bulk cargo ships, among others.
Deep Blue has set a precedent of quality and excellence in maritime agency services, offshore projects and line services through our business alliance with BBC Chartering.
With direct presence in main Colombian ports and a highly qualified team we provide technical advice with high quality standards in order to attend efficiently the needs of our customers.

Maritime Agency
Deep Blue offers complete maritime agency services to its customers in Colombia and all over the world for vessels calling Colombian Ports. These services include: Coordination of the operation with port authorities and terminals, preparation and handling of cargo documentation, shipowners proforma, owner´s expenses, permits from national authorities, market information, among others.
The company has understood that the maritime agency not only refers to the agile and efficient attention of ships in port but also extends to addressing the needs of the cargo in order to maintain high quality standards in the service offered to shipowners and cargo owners.

Liner Services
Understanding that customers require wider service options, since March 2015 Deep Blue takes control of the commercial representation in Colombia of BBC Chartering and Caytrans BBC. These two shipping lines are global and regional leaders in break bulk, projects and oversized cargo.
BBC Chartering is the #1 worldwide in managing high-level projects and have the largest and most modern vessel fleet. In addition, it covers the whole world with their service tailored to the needs of its customers.
Caytrans was born of the alliance between BBC Chartering and Dan Gulf to cover the route US Gulf, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean and Northern South America. This line is characterized by the flexibility, handling their vessel’s fleet to reach the expectations of its customers.

Off-Shore Service
We offer our services for Seismic and Submarine Cabling Projects that have been beneficial to our country, being a logistical solution for the companies on coordinating, monitoring and supplying the vessels and their crews upon arrivals, departures and during the operation.
We handle import and export´s vessels, cargo and transshipment documentation. We serve crew arrival and departure by issuing work visas and monitoring migratory formalities. We Schedule supplies services to the ship. We raised the necessary funds and carry out the final accounts based on customer needs.
Our company has developed an excellent service with personal attention shortening processes and maximizing the results of the operation.
